pihole is a coomsumer meme
also having a adblocker makes you stick out like a sore thumb so its not the best for privacy

The best way is to have dedicated device for pihole. Interesting way of thinking about ads and privacy.

There are multiple ways to block ads on DNS level
1) Use custom router firmware like OpenWRT
2) Use PiHole using Raspberry Pi device
3) Use service like nextdns and select from number of lists to block
